An existing client of ours from Sauchie called us, they had a problem with their tumble dryer.

We advised them if possible and safe to do so, to switch it off and remove the plug.
We find this a lot with tumble dryers and the moulded plug that comes with it.
Moulded plugs are machine manufactured in a factory and cannot be fitted with a screwdriver.
Due to ill health our client could not make use of the recent sunshine and had been using their tumble dryer more than usual.
Prolonged use of tumble dryers can cause the plug to over heat which can lead to thermal damage to both the plug and the socket.
We replaced the socket, cut the old moulded plug off and fitted a 13amp rewireable plug.
Tumble dryer back up and running and client happy knowing that the plug on the tumble dryer and the socket is safe to use again.
